Hey, Twitter:
Today we have some unfortunate news. Effective immediately, OUT/CAST is ceasing publication. This is something we've tried to avoid for several months.

But as you all know, shit gets quite difficult. We no longer have the time or funds to continue with OUT/CAST. We send a profound thank you to everyone we've published and everyone who has supported us over the last year.

Working to publish queer and Midwestern artists has been such a good journey. We've been honored to create a space for so many diverse and nuanced voices and work. In a perfect world we would maintain and grow OUT/CAST forever.

#Pride2019? It’s our time to shine 😎
Reminder that we’d love to see any submissions that exude the spirit of Pride — liberation, celebration, the power of riots, and QTPOC leading the way, to name just a few — but there’s no set theme.
Submit here: https://t.co/xYHgfnjQdG
just so you all know, we're still looking for volunteer prose readers! we want to get to 10 applications before we take the time to go through them, and we're only a few away from that 🥳
info/how to apply: https://t.co/wwWDAPOwMx
Its the first day of Pride month and I want to remind my LGBT+ fam that Pride is often not accessible and excludes our disabled LGBT+ siblings ♿🏳️🌈
What if you were no longer allowed entry into your favorite… https://t.co/S6kR6nJSh6

Hey, all! We're almost caught up on submissions, but we're finding ourselves a little short of work for next month, i.e. Pride Month! 🏳️🌈
So we are ESPECIALLY welcoming anything related to that theme, however you'd like to interpret it.

"A speck of dust, the ghost of
never. Folding the distance across
pages into a fistful of lines I took
back for myself."
From "Woman as Dying Star," one of two #poems by @thefinalnicole up today at OUT/CAST. https://t.co/l8tQxcyzUd
SUBMISSIONS ARE OPEN UNTIL THE END OF MAY!! Send away! We want art, photography, and writing of all kinds. Check out our online issue for an idea of what we like: https://t.co/Lyu8i4J9KB
Something that may or may not be coming down the pipeline in about two weeks time... tag someone who might be interested (if you're non-binary and have a zine/ podcast/ music/ merch, you're probably interested). 😊🌈✨#nonbinary#zines#queerzines#queerlit
"We are here, so make space for us." It's that simple. My latest for CNN on making #Pride more accessible, featuring words from @annieelainey@powernotpity @dominickevans @alainaskeys @ShivaniSWriting
Hey everyone! We're a new #litmag focused on amplifying work by queer and/or Midwestern writers (but anyone can submit), and we can't wait to read your work when we launch VERY soon (emphasis on VERY, it'll just sneak up on you)!
