Gm, finally back from a 3 week vacation in Japan.

As some of you might have heard, @Azuki went through a recent company restructuring with numerous employees being laid off, including myself.

I thought I’d be more bitter about it but honestly, the last two and a half years working at Azuki have been an absolute blessing. Being able to move to LA, be surrounded by some of the kindest and most passionate individuals I’ve ever worked with, and having the privilege of learning and growing from tech and media professionals with decades of experience and excellence has been a dream. They say you should strive to never be the smartest person in the room, and at Azuki I never was - and it was awesome. You can’t buy that kind of learning and growing opportunity.

I have nothing but appreciation and respect for Azuki and my former team for giving me the opportunity to grow, come in every day, and work my ass off doing work I love doing. Big love to @Zagabond, @locationtba, @2pmflow, and @hoshiboyzen for giving a bean like me a chance to be part of such an incredible journey. Huge thanks to @DemAzuki, @emilyrosemcg, @elaineazuki14, and @dgtlemissions for being such incredible bosses, mentors, and friends. The countless memories and hardships I shared with a dope team in the most battle-hardened NFT project and community will never be forgotten.

All that being said, with 2 years of content creation and 3 years of Web3 community building, strategy, and business development under my belt, I’m now looking for new opportunities to pursue.

My DM’s are open - and I’m ready to build. 🫡

This was my last week at Azuki, it was an amazing and very personally fulfilling journey. Wish it could have lasted longer, but I don’t regret a single moment or experience together with the team.

Being able to touch a space I thought was out of reach for a weeb like me was a dream come true.

I’m glad I got to represent the community in all things I worked on, and still very much look forward to what come from the team. They’re a great group with extreme drive and motivation.

Not sure what’s next for me yet, but I do get very stir crazy sitting around at home so I’ll be pretty active in looking for new opportunities that excite me. I’m built on passion so whatever I end up doing needs to align with my own personal ethos of community, collaboration and a similar dope shit only release motto.

Big thank you to everyone in the community and team who supported my journey, helped me grow and learn and let me be an ear for them to just talk or vent.

Sometimes there are pieces that draw me in immediately.

This one feels like the violence of love itself, the way it tears through you and leaves black holes where there used to be light. The reds are blood and passion, the pale blues are breath and forgiveness, the dark strokes are the voids we carry when we lose parts of ourselves to someone else.

This piece feels like the quiet after impact, when two forces have collided and all that is left is the echo. “You have not filled me; you have revealed me.”
