The choreography does not simply accompany the lyrics; it seems to inhabit them. The song is built around the idea of continuing forward through whatever threatens to pull you under, and the choreography understands that “swimming” does not have to look like literal swimming. Instead, it translates the feeling of water into the movement itself; through rippling arms, shifting weight, undulating bodies, expanding formations and movements that seem to pull against an invisible current.
