Four girls dealing with chronic illness and a history of various traumas, learning from our own experiences and each others as we learn to respect our limits.
@MsSwank @MsLCWebs Here I come, late to the party!
Why is it that if someone doesn't have a functional/mechanical error clearly visible or explainable others attribute the cause to behavioral and moral failings on the part of the person suffering?
People assume rx side effects are all mild and tolerable, and most are. Others leave you in bed for 3 days with memory holes and weird emails in your sent folder.
At least I demonstrated that I was incapable of writing a paper.

Those most at risk for Long Covid, aside the effects of acute illness, are 1) anyone with POTS or MCAS 2) anyone who is hypermobile or has Ehlers-Danlos 3) anyone with a "benign" sacral dimple who had tethered cord symptoms as a child (urinary issues, leg pain, walked on tiptoe).
You can bury past trauma, but it doesn’t stay there for long. It comes calling eventually. The way to best ensure reducing risk of your past trauma leading to you harming those you love, is by dealing with it directly. Working through past harm in healthy manner. It’s not easy.
IMO many chronically ill people are expected to live partial lives while being grateful as if they’re living full ones. We miss out on so much and suffer so much. ❤️🩹
@outofspoonspod When I say I’ve been sleeping/resting all day, I really mean it, I’m not just being glib. I might lay here and play on my phone but I was not up to visitors/calls during that time.
@outofspoonspod@bennessb How much mental & emotional energy it requires— meds, dr appts, insurance, treatments, not to mention the constant worry that you’re letting down your friends/family/job when you have to cancel plans or miss work… it occupies SO MUCH brain space CONSTANTLY
@outofspoonspod That person's mental health is not so good dealing with there situation alone!!! That's how we #spoonie 's identify each other and find a community of help! Share away sister
