@stehoare The narrative around him last season always made me feel uncomfortable. Yes he was poor last season (he wasn’t the only one!) but he was excellent the previous two seasons (POTY imo in 24-25, Mo aside). Form is temporary, etc etc,

I’m not sure I’m comfortable with last years player of the season being written off as a CM after just two games. Fair play he’s been a bit pants, but we’d often complain we missed him more centrally when he was at RB last season. Maybe we give him a bit of a break!?

I don’t want to sound too much like a Football Manager hipster here, but it’s nice to see our new CB trying to play the ball through the lines. A little ‘progressive’ passing didn’t hurt anyone. Will be even better when it actually works.
