Digging through the archives last week and I found some old footage of a few of the first projects I got to contribute to as a proper creative technologist. Way back before the current MediaPipe/Touch Designer craze, this is how we did it.

I'm relearning Processing after about 10 years away. I remember most of the basics, but I also have the benefit of much more domain knowledge and general understanding this time round. This'll be good...

Evolution of an effect, another look behind the curtain at some of my process. First, isolate the math, then integrate and iterate. Works every time

I think it's actually feature-complete! Now time to harden the loop, polish the visuals, add some sound, and get it to RC1!!

Something like glitch art, running some experiments/sketching with Blender's compositing nodes. One the one hand, I wish there were more and specific nodes, on the other, I like that I'm a bit constrained...

New PLA day! I definitely like the Copper silk better than this "gold" silk, but it's going to get post-processed anyway. Got new jewelry designs I want to prototype and some miniatures I need to get out of my hed, back to the shop...

Happy #screenshotsaturday! Finally got Attract Mode Finished, and what a great little learning project for #Unity Visual Scripting. Almost to the finish line, should be able to get the whole experience done this weekend, fingers crossed!
Who says volunteer work has to be boring? And if I get to work on some immersive art installations in the process well that's just a win-win, isn't it??
Scale prototyping before the final model and build always helps better judge proportions and overall look and feel. That and it's just cool to see something come from the screen into the real world.

48 Hour Film Project was such an amazing experience! It was a crazy, intense 12 hours on set, but what we did is going to be awesome and I hope I get invited to do it again!

It's only been about a week on this project but it's crazy to see how many iterations it's already been through. Here's hoping to get to a near final this coming week!

Almost spaced on #screenshotsaturday but finally have something to share! Not as impressive as most of the projects, but this one's headed to a natural history museum for a digital kiosk, so I'm pretty stoked on that! #unity3d
From the digital to the real, this is gonna look really cool once it's in place!

... but sometimes I like to just go into blender's shading and compositing views and "sketch" a bit. Not the way I envisioned it in my head but that's just some motivation to learn Blender's API(s?) and write my own shading and compositing nodes...
