Four people have just been arrested and charged with running a scheme to steal more than $659,000 from Connecticut Medicaid Health Insurance Programs through false claims.

All four have already been released on a $100,000 bond.

They scream “gerrymandering” when Republicans draw maps in red states… but stay completely silent while Republicans in New England are locked out of congressional representation despite millions of Republican voters across the region.

Connecticut has tens of thousands of Republican voters in CT-5 alone. Across New England, Republicans make up huge portions of the electorate, yet somehow end up with virtually no representation in Congress.

That’s not “democracy.” That’s political protectionism.

The political establishment wants controlled opposition, low turnout, and no real competition. They want conventions without contested primaries. They want voters sidelined while insiders make the decisions behind closed doors.

I believe the people, not political gatekeepers, should decide who represents them.

CT-5 is competitive.
CT-5 can be flipped.
But only if we stop accepting the same broken system that keeps producing the same results.

I am DISGUSTED — not just disappointed — by the outright corruption and backroom favoritism happening right now in Westbrook.

Your annual John A. Holbrook Awards Dinner is May 14th. You rolled out the red carpet for Ryan Fazio and Erin Stewart — the establishment’s hand-picked Republican Governor candidates.

But when the Conservative candidate Betsy McCaughey asked for a seat at the table?

Westbrook RTC Chair Harry Ruppenicker Jr. looked her dead in the eye and said:
“No. It is what it is.”

IT IS WHAT IT IS?!

That arrogant, elitist slap in the face to every conservative voter in Connecticut is exactly why people are fed up with the CT Republican Party machine.

As a former Chair of a MUCH larger RTC, I’ve seen this garbage before — but never this blatant. You’re not “uniting the party.” You’re rigging the conversation, silencing conservative voices, and treating rank-and-file Republicans like peasants who don’t deserve to hear ALL the candidates.

You excluded every voter who wants real choices instead of pre-selected insiders.
