🐻 I think it's going to become my favorite [album].

Ian was trying to sabotage Bear the whole time because he wanted nikki for himself. In the beginning scene he tells Bear that his confession was cringe and that he should call her “freaky nikki” which he knew she wouldn’t like. He also wouldnt leave the table at trivia night and then once again interrupted bear on purpose at the bar. #Obsession

Bear was awful from the start.

People say Bear only became the villain after the wish, but I disagree.

When his cat dies, his immediate reaction isn’t guilt or accountability, it’s confusion over how the cat got the pills, even though that could only have happened because of his own negligence. Later, when he wants to buy Nikki a gift, he quickly gives up on finding something she’d genuinely appreciate and instead walks away with the One Wish Willow.

Then there’s the wish itself. He doesn’t wish for Nikki to choose him or for their relationship to grow naturally. He wishes for her to love him more than anyone else in the world, which means her own wants and feelings no longer matter. Even if he believed it was just a harmless novelty, the fact that this was his deepest desire says a lot about how he viewed Nikki long before the curse ever took hold. That’s what makes it so disturbing.

Yeah, I agree. The signs were there from the start. Dude barely had time to process his cat's death before he was back on Nikki's IG page staring at her pictures and likes.

Then Nikki called while he was obsessing over her profile to comfort him about his cat's death, and Bear started thinking the feelings were mutual. Since he didn't have the nerve to confess, he took the easiest route by making the wish, and it ended up destroying everyone around him.

As for the gift, he gave up almost immediately because he had no idea what Nikki would like, so he went with the wish instead. Looking back, the red flags were always there. #Obsession

Nikki is a villain too.

The moment she gets the final One-Wish Willow, she doesn’t wish to heal or undo the trauma. Instead, she stoops to Bear’s exact level by taking away someone else’s free will and forcing them to love her back.

Bear didn’t stop purging the pills out of love. Nikki’s desperate wish overrode his survival instinct and trapped him in his own body. In trying to possess him forever, she accidentally killed him through a magical overdose.

Bear started the cycle of obsession, but Nikki chose to continue it.

She had the chance to break the cycle…

Instead, she became exactly what she hated.
