Announcement —

I have poured my entire heart, countless dollars, and an absurd amount of time into my OVE project since its inception in 2018. It has been a journey filled with passion, dedication, and relentless pursuit of my artistic vision. Over the years, I've experienced incredible moments, with getting the opportunity to open the Bassrush stage at Beyond Wonderland PNW 2023 standing out as the pinnacle of my career.

However, despite my best efforts, the past year has been incredibly challenging for my mental health. I have felt an overwhelming sense of stagnation and frustration, feeling as though I am doing everything right but still getting nowhere. This sense of plateau after such a high point has been difficult to navigate, and it has taken a toll on me both personally and professionally.

After much reflection and consideration, I have decided that after the show next week on June 28th, OVE will be stepping back from all shows, releases, and other activities for the foreseeable future. This decision has not been easy, but it is necessary for my mental well-being.

I want to express my deepest gratitude to everyone who has supported OVE throughout the years, from the old hookah lounge in CDA, to the legendary Red Room in Spokane, to the late great The Pin, even to all the weddings and house parties I got to participate in. Your support has meant the world to me, and I hope you will understand and respect my need to take this time for myself.

Thank you for being part of this journey with me, it’s time for a clean slaite.

TLDR version for me is:

- pushing project since 2018 out of Spokane, WA/CDA, ID and started seeing consistent and building success (support for major acts, songs over 10k plays), culminating in the opportunity to open the bassrush stage at beyond pnw last year
- moved to Vegas feeling like I’m ramping up in music
- been here a year and a half, played two shows w/ >20 people
- music getting less than 1k plays despite dumping hundreds of $$ into promo, I objectively feel like it’s good music too please feel free to give me a reality check 🫡
- having people in my ear saying I’m doing the right things but somehow not translating to engagement
- bass music cesspool of poor attitudes, egos, etc.
- social media content rat race

Ik that’s still kinda long, to sum it up — I’m exhausted
