@oelma__ I mean the employer could actually pay a living wage instead of expecting people to pay for service… service which the employee is employed to provide. Am I supposed to tip a plumber for unclogging a sink? The garbage man for collecting my garbage?
@abcnews Shared equity schemes means Govt effectively replaces a bank. Does the bank pay maintenance, rates, upkeep on property where they have provided finance? Not sure why anyone would expect Govt to cover these costs, they’re a financier in this situation.
@NewsTalk4BC Didn’t realise Tamika was out there delivering social & affordable housing? Talks a good game, hasn’t delivered any housing despite saying she’s ready to roll out. What’s stopping her? Partner with a local council & deliver the hundreds of modular homes she says she has in stock
@couriermail So the public commitment was “commencements” by 2025, correct? That’s not delivered - that means contracted. What is the story here exactly?

Criminology professor Vincent Hurley says that "we cannot arrest our way out of this" when it comes to addressing domestic violence and that "money needs to go into frontline services now"

@Pollytics Definitely the Orbs. Makes me stop, drop and roll whilst simultaneously flailing & slapping myself like a lunatic. Those webs are STRONG too. Horrifying.
@9NewsQueensland@MegESydes Feds would have made this decision months & months ago, yet still strung Qld Govt along & let them spend $$ on consultants to work out how it could work for the homeless. Horrendous behaviour from Feds.
@JHills85@qldshelter@NationalShelter This decision was not made overnight, this was clearly in the works for months & months on end. Why let the Qld Gov go ahead & spend $$ on how to use the facility if there was never an intent to allow it? Disgusting & disingenuous behaviour.
@couriermail It is a difficult time for renters, no doubt. I see Kevin Mercer is quoted again. Where are Vinnies 147 homes they’ve been given $60 million in tax payers $$ for? Plus the millions they get every year for homelessness support & ALL their vacant land.

@couriermail Interesting that Antonia Mercorella wasn’t quoted in the story, usually anything to do with property law or real estate, her views are sought - but not here. Why not?
@couriermail Crazy that Kevin Mercer talks about supply - his org got funding for 147 homes almost a year ago, where are they? They would go a long way to helping the people sleeping rough. St Vincent de Paul also get millions from government for homeless support.

@DavidCrisafulli Crime in Queensland is way down compared to when you and Newman were wrecking the economy.
You sacked 14000 Queensland workers.
You sacked health care workers, nurses.
You want to privatise healthcare and hospitals.
You are a traitor.
I keep seeing Tamika Smith’s name pop up about delivering affordable/social housing.
Where has the housing been delivered? I would love to know, because if MyBellaCasa has all these modular homes ready to go, why aren’t they being installed?

@DailyMailCeleb Maybe the paps should respect boundaries and stop trying to push past the umbrella, which is clearly covering Taylor. I sincerely doubt Scott Swift punched anyone - the pap is being very dramatic. It’s a pity the paparazzi are so rabid, give her space FFS.
@DavidCrisafulli What are you bringing to the table? What are your policies? What are their costs to implement? What are the material impacts of the policies, including on staffing etc? It’s all well and good to throw your slogans out there, but without budgeted policies, you’ll stall.
