@MCBlueRoom @Lylanthia@vasanthipanchak@LibertyCappy 2/ They’ve omitted all data concerning the NDA cases, and cases with indirect payment. A tactic used extensively. They only count priests in their category, but count all teachers, including catholic teachers. This skews the number. So though it’s not lies, it’s not accurate.
@MCBlueRoom @Lylanthia@vasanthipanchak@LibertyCappy 1/ So the sources only concern themselves with the Catholic Church. Not religious figures in general. And though they don’t directly lie, they do omit rather important data. So I’m not convinced by these sources.
@Grimner49 @Lylanthia@vasanthipanchak@LibertyCappy A couple of things about that source to consider. The study _only_ compares with catholic schools, not pastors and church employees as a whole. Her statement is based on absolute numbers, not share of population. Which would be fair if the two groups were of equal size.
@MCBlueRoom @Lylanthia@vasanthipanchak@LibertyCappy 3/ Especially because other groups in the 322 except politicians closely match their share in population. So the two groups that stands out in the extreme are church people and politicians. So much so that more than 1,200 cases would have to have gone unreported.
@MCBlueRoom @Lylanthia@vasanthipanchak@LibertyCappy 2/ In order to get the no. of cases reported on pastors to match their share of population there would have to be an under-reporting of more than 1,200 cases by other groups. Out of 322 cases reported, that seems very unlikely.
@DumbGuyCarl@Lylanthia@vasanthipanchak@LibertyCappy I think that would be clear from my tweet. 322 stories abt SA on kids in the past 11 weeks have been reported on the news. Out of those 322 22% were pastors.
So the source are the stories published in new, and then it’s just basic math.
@Lylanthia@vasanthipanchak@LibertyCappy In the last 11 weeks there’s been 322 cases of SA on kids in the news. 4% were done by teachers and school staff, all types.
22% were pastors and church staff.
But tell me more about how 0.013% of the population committing 22% of SA cases isn’t the problem…
@Lylanthia@vasanthipanchak@LibertyCappy That is a horrible idea. Who in their right mind let their kids get anywhere near that cesspool of pedophiles in church?
@Godsspear011@SmileyOBrienPhD @JoeyMannarinoUS You ran out of anything reasonable to say. So memes is all you got left.
Well, thanks for trying. You didn’t really do much, but at least you where here. So here’s your participation trophy:
@Godsspear011@SmileyOBrienPhD @JoeyMannarinoUS Hmmm…. I guess logic isn’t a strong suit for you, so you have to resort to silly memes.
Good for you! I’m sure you’re doing your best.
And good luck with that.
@TRHLofficial In other words the sexual abuser and serial adulterer is willing to sell out a democratic ally and break the promises made by the US in order to a-peace a fascist dictator murdering his way through civilians.
Right on brand for the cowardice cadet bone spurs.
@Godsspear011@SmileyOBrienPhD @JoeyMannarinoUS Those are states, not cities. So either we talk state level, or city level. Those are not interchangeable.
And top 10 unsafest states 7 have permitless open carry. In other words, very few restrictions on guns.
@Godsspear011@SmileyOBrienPhD @JoeyMannarinoUS 3/ In other words; if you cherry pick your data, you can make both claims seem true. We can pick data to show correlation between gun violence and Dem run cities. But we can also do the opposite. Therefore we must conclude there really isn’t a causal link either way.
@Godsspear011@SmileyOBrienPhD @JoeyMannarinoUS 2/ so apparently, not only do Dem government result in high rates of gun violence. It also result in the opposite…
Or… and hear me out here; there isn’t a causation between Dem run government and high degrees of gun violence.
