🇮🇱🇺🇸 Newly released footage from the New York Times footage shows Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the late Senator Lindsey Graham privately coordinating a bipartisan effort in October 2024 to delay the International Criminal Court (ICC) from issuing an arrest warrant for Netanyahu

Netanyahu urged Graham to organize the bipartisan Senate letter arguing allegations against then-ICC Prosecutor Karim Khan to create a “cloud” that should be resolved before any warrant was issued. In a later call, Graham said, “we got them both,” referring to Democratic Sens. Richard Blumenthal and Ben Cardin, and asked Netanyahu to send over proposed language for the letter.

A bipartisan letter signed by Blumenthal and Cardin was sent on Nov. 1, 2024, urging the ICC not to proceed until the allegations against Khan were addressed. The ICC nevertheless issued arrest warrants for Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant later that month anyway
