A lady shared that she had been out of work for 9 months and had gone through multiple interviews with no success. Then, a friend referred her to a company and to her surprise, they skipped the interview process entirely because of the strength of that referral. Her friend was known as an exceptional and trustworthy employee, and the company valued her recommendation so highly that they fast-tracked the process straight to an offer letter.
Even more amazing, the new job pays three times more than her previous one.
What stood out to me is this: being credible and diligent isn’t just an asset to you, it’s also an asset to your network.
This is a powerful reminder to be excellent and committed in whatever you do. Your integrity and diligence can open doors not only for you, but for others connected to you.
Girl, we used to date you ladies in secondary school when you had low cut that used to show you people's ogor, no make up and we still liked you guys like that. How's it a problem that we are seeing you in your sweaty REAL self and still wanting to talk to you?
UPDATE: If you thought she actually got away with our ₦2.8 million to live her best life in Canada, you don't know how ruthless corporate lawyers can be.
She made one critical mistake in her arrogant triumph: she told us exactly where she was.
Our Legal Director didn't waste a second. He immediately contacted the EFCC and the Nigerian Immigration Service. Because the stolen amount was substantial and easily verified through internal banking logs, our lawyers were able to secure an expedited warrant for corporate fraud and theft.
We didn't stop there. Through rapid coordination, the authorities notified the airline and the Canadian embassy that a suspect fleeing active financial charges was currently in transit.
Here is exactly how her severance package from God played out:
She enjoyed her long-haul flight, probably sipping complimentary wine and dreaming of her fresh start in Toronto.
But the moment she stepped off the plane and handed her passport to the Canadian Border Services Agency, the system flashed red.
She never even made it past baggage claim.
Canadian immigration detained her on the spot. Because her proof of funds was legally tied to an active criminal investigation back home, her entry was denied, and her freshly minted visa was instantly revoked.
After spending 48 humiliating hours in an immigration detention room, she was escorted onto a plane under guard and deported straight back to Nigeria.
She landed in Lagos yesterday morning, but this time, the EFCC was waiting to welcome her right at the arrival gate.
She was handcuffed in front of hundreds of passengers, crying, hyperventilating, and begging the officers to let her call our HR manager to work out a payment plan.
Yes, the exact same HR manager she had laughed at and dismissed just days prior.
Now, she has no job, a revoked Canadian visa that permanently blacklists her from re-applying, a looming criminal trial, and the EFCC breathing down her neck to recover the ₦2.8 million.
As for our finance team? The people responsible for the glitch were heavily sanctioned, and our payroll system is undergoing a massive overhaul.
It’s funny how quickly arrogance fades. Greed will convince you that you are outsmarting the system, but a poor mindset will always be your ultimate downfall.
When you operate with zero integrity, reality always catches up and collects with interest.
Raise your behavioral standards. Integrity is everything, and there is absolutely room for no bare minimums when it comes to character.
A boring day. No emergency phone calls, no sudden bad news, and no unexpected hospital runs. Just a quiet day where everything went the way it was supposed to. We easily forget that a drama-free life is a big underrated luxury.
There are plenty business reasons why she would do that
*Customer retention. She prioritises her regular customers who buy in small quantities every day.
*She’s not a wholesaler. Her profit margin is usually higher selling one or two eggs at a time than selling an entire crate at once.
*Some products like eggs are a complementary product. Many customers buy eggs alongside bread, noodles, milk, seasoning, or drinks. If she runs out of eggs, she could lose those additional sales too.
It feels like yesterday she was the tiny baby we carried everywhere.
Today, she is the tallest and strongest in the family. Last week she officially finished secondary school, and she stepped out beautifully for her prom.
Children grow so quickly. Watching them become who they were created to be is one of life's greatest joys.
We are grateful to God.
Congratulations, my daughter. The future is bright. ❤️🎓
*can someone please tell my wife that I am than her.😳
