And you dare to call me a terrorist
While you look down your gun
When I think of all the deeds that you have done
You have plundered many nations
And dvided many lands
You have terrorised their people
You ruled with an iron hand
And you brought this reign of terror to my land
I am shocked by the political inertia in the face of what Israelis -settlers and soldiers- are doing in Palestine, where terror has become a daily reality. In the West Bank, torching century old trees and poisoning livestock. When will the EU take action against Apartheid Israel?
Yes, 20% of suicide deaths are people on JobSeeker. Yes, 60% of working age adults who die are on a Centrelink payment.
So what did Tanya Plibersek do in Anti-Poverty Week? Give $5 million to charities.

Solidarity with @MothinAli & @ZackPolanski the subject of Islamophobic & Antisemitic attack by the mainstream media.
Senior centrist Greens should be protecting them, rather than stirring nonsense that would return the party to a single MP, 50k member irrelevance
Melenchon "The entire world is about to enter a financial crisis.
This is an opportunity to change the system. We have ideas to do it."
(With English subtitles)
"Only 5% of Protestants in Northern Ireland are members of the Orange Order, an organisation so ultra conservative that the 40,000 men who are members are banned from marrying Catholics." Important context from @rosielanners https://t.co/hIlIturXDI
Take it from every anti imperialist & anti colonial movement in history, Drew. From the ANC to the IRA to Fatah to Hamas. If you take away the ballot box, don't be surprised when the people take up the gun.
Australia saw this in Eureka. Don't shit on that legacy, Drew.
Thank God the Green Party has moved away from this 70s Hippie bullshit.
Almost all the Hippies that took part in those movements have become conservative rags.
You were obviously never ideologically opposed to the Vietnam War.
I participated in the anti-Vietnam War and anti-conscription movement of the late 60s and early 70s. I opposed Australian and US involvement in the war but did not support the Communist leadership of the Vietnamese resistance because they were clearly going to institute a one-party state. I was critical of my own government but did not support its violent overthrow. Some in the movement however did support the Communists and did support the violent overthrow of capitalism and, especially in the US, this took the form of the terrorist organisation -the Weather Underground - that carried out numerous bombings.
I am worried that history is about to repeat itself, only more dangerously this time. While I support the call for peace in the Middle East and am critical of the policies of both Trump and Netanyahu, there is a line that I think the pro-Palestine movement must not cross but are in great danger of doing so. The calls for the destruction of Israel, the glorification of the authoritarian, terrorist, Islamist groups Hamas, the blanket condemnation of “Zionism” and calls to “globalise the intifada” (both of which imply that any Jew around the world who supports the state of Israel is a target) all buy into a narrative that fails to notice when red lines get crossed. I greatly fear we will see the emergence of home-grown terrorism in the coming period from a small minority who have bought this narrative and crossed the red line into violence.
Hồ Chí Minh understood this in Vietnam's own colonial struggle. The Vietcong did horrible things, but today everyone understands the moral righteousness of the broader task. Clearly you did not learn this during those years.
