It's so selfish to enter someone's life, see that they're a loving, cheerful, and good person, and decide to ruin their peace because you haven't dealt with your own issues. Leave people alone if you have no intention of showing up with sincerity.
A hard pill that I had to swallow and coming into realization is that someone wanted the benefits of having me without wanting the responsibility of fully choosing me
the hardest thing I've learned this year is that you can never force someone to communicate and work things out. you can't beg someone to see that you're worth fighting for and i stand by that now
If we date, don’t stop being you. Keep having fun, keep seeing your friends, keep chasing your goals, and keep enjoying your life. A relationship should add to your life, not take away from it. Just make sure you save time for us too.
One thing I've learned this year:
People can genuinely care about you and still not have the capacity to love you the way you need to be loved.
That's why self-respect is important. Sometimes choosing yourself means walking away from something you wish could've worked.
