Today, together with the Townclerk @Douglasnsubuga and the leadership of Bukesa Central Division, we held an impactful community clean-up exercise involving waste evacuation, community sensitization, and tree planting. These actions strengthen public health while protecting our environment.
We appreciate the leadership of Dr. @NalukwagoJudith , Hon. Councillors, LC1 and LC2 Chairpersons, and our partners; @UReportUganda , FUNDO , @UNICEFUganda , the Cycling Association, Nabugabo Updeal, and 7 Hills Central—for a morning well spent in service to our communities.
Together, we are building a cleaner, healthier, and greener future.

Yesterday , I joined the @KCCAUG Executive Director,@Buzeki_Sharifah and deputy Executive Director @BenonKigenyi in the second phase of the Kasanvu, Makindye division clean-up exercise, following the evacuation of a massive dumpsite that had existed for over five years.
The exercise included house-to-house sensitization on proper sanitation practices, including safe waste disposal, disease prevention, environmental cleanliness, and waste segregation.
We also engaged with NWSC teams responding to a blocked sewer line, where access to manholes had been obstructed by structures built over them.
The Executive Director directed local leaders to work with property owners to restore access within three days.
I appreciate the LC I leadership, committee members, Makindye Division SACCOs, waste collectors, iC Care, and residents for their support and commitment to a cleaner, healthier community.
Happy Heroes Day!
Behind every strong community are people who choose service, compassion and resilience. We salute our health workers, social workers, community volunteers and participants whose dedication continues to strengthen communities.
