Shooting for July 18th for the launch of my 100Kft+ rocket, Death By Association.
Lots of work to do, but the build is only a week from crossing the finish line.
I have so many thanks to give to so many people for their support thus far, especially my ops crew.
Supra Et Ultra.
@jimbelosic Does SCS Sponsor college rocket teams? We cooked up some sheet metal battery mounting brackets for our 14ft long 150 lb rocket. Launching at IREC this year, would love to throw some SCS Swag on it.
@MonsterFuturist If you're interested in cubesats, the University of Hawaii has a fantastic guide for designing cubesat missions. Very applicable to other mission architectures as well. covers power profiling, systems engineering, thermal controls, and data budgets. https://t.co/7mbqLkylVf
@MonsterFuturist Nasa releases a report every few years called State-of-the-Art of Small Spacecraft Technology and can be found here: https://t.co/HzImQZGYe4
Very helpful for the design process to see what is available.
@observie How happy are you with those TRACO power blocks? Been eyeing them for a while for a couple designs but haven’t had the heart to pull the trigger due to cost vs other options.
With orbital data centers popping off, who’s building the additional fabs needed for mass manufacturing these high efficiency multi junction solar cells?
