@Rowanfoto @HenryMeade @justpaulinelol @elonmusk @NASASpaceflight It does have the added benefit of engine out capability, each engine can be protected from others failing (good design means "failures" are not high energy (explosive.)) The rocket can continue onward with a margin of error allowing some engines to not function.

@mensa123 @elonmusk Actually they stagger the firings of each engine my milliseconds in order to not shock load the system. Its all managed by the onboard computer
