Senior PR officer at Woodland Trust. Long-serving ex-BBC journalist & still occasional freelance sport hack…It’s not my fault, it was like that when I got here.
Football and war and stuff. Grab a coffee and have a read through this piece put together by @andrewaloia @thetalkofsport and me. Truly remarkable what some people had to live through. @Jimmyseed1947 #thelastpass https://t.co/Xwf8g9sfWo

@theofficialfwa@CFCJourno 3/3 And we also shared a football pitch about 20 years ago when our teams played a “friendly”. He was still a very good central midfielder. He could really play. And boy was he competitive. 😁💙💙⚽️
@theofficialfwa@CFCJourno 2/3 Paul trusted me to cover Chelsea on his behalf on a rare occasion he couldn’t make it. We spent many an hour together in the press box and at Kingsmeadow covering the reserves.
@matt_newsum There’s loads to go at in there, it’s a bit out there for your average replies of the time. Normally Phil Collins, buy a pub, be invisible for a day and Minder are standard answers.
@KeithKnight05@chriswrightzz Who would have guessed which three turned out to be good buys? Mal goal v Tottenham was worth 100k alone! @SpennyBoy7 a bargain. Class…& goal in Vienna is still one of my favourite Chelsea goals. @Mickharford was wonderful. Shame Rob Fleck never worked out. One of those things.
@CFCJourno The goal was a cross. Good but simple header. His touch and awareness has to be better. He messed up on several occasions when he had a decent ball. He needs better service undoubtedly, but he has to do better when he gets ball to feet. He has all the attributes. So frustrating.
