Celebrating 1 year of Audiobooks for Spotify Premium after launching France, Belgium, The Netherlands & Luxembourg yesterday. Much more to come 📚

It’s been one year since we launched Audiobooks for Spotify Premium users and it’s been really cool to watch the excitement from both listeners and authors grow. A few things to share:

💰 We’ve already paid hundreds of millions to publishers, and are excited about the all the new opportunities now available to authors.

📚 Our catalog has doubled to 300,000 titles. We know that our listeners are loving bestsellers, but they are also very excited to be discovering backlist titles too.

👂 Over 58% of audiobook listeners are 18-34 years old.

🌍 We’ve just expanded into non-English markets for the first time, including France, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg. (This is brand new, so check it out if you live in one of these markets!)

There’s still more to come as we’re continuously testing new features and ideas. Can’t wait to share more with you soon.
