Elon Musk is an American by blood
His grandfather, Joshua Haldeman (6’6”) and father to Maye Musk, was born in 1902 in Pequot Lakes, Minnesota, and even paid his way through college by competing in rodeos, the most American thing imaginable.
Project Hail Mary is now on Prime Video, free for Prime members everywhere.
It’s my favorite movie that I've seen in a long time. Truly outstanding and unique. Phil Lord and Chris Miller pulled off something remarkable, Ryan Gosling is amazing, and none of this happens without Andy Weir’s compelling book.
If you missed it in theaters, now's your chance. And, if you already saw it, it's an easy way to rewatch.
Think you'll enjoy.

America needs to build again, and it is building.

Uranus is finally getting the attention it deserves 🔵😄
Scientists want to send a mission called Uranus Orbiter and Probe — a spacecraft that would travel all the way to Uranus, drop a probe into its atmosphere, and then stay behind in orbit to study the planet, its rings, moons, magnetic field, and what’s going on deep inside.
Why Uranus? Because we’ve barely seen it up close. The only spacecraft to visit it was Voyager 2 in 1986, and that was just a quick flyby. Since then, Uranus has remained one of the Solar System’s biggest mysteries.
And it’s a weird one:
💙 it spins almost on its side
🧊 it’s one of the coldest planets in the Solar System
💎 diamonds rain down on Uranus’ core
🌀 and its magnetic field is exceptionally chaotic, tilted, and lopsided
This mission could help scientists understand not only Uranus itself, but also a whole class of planets called ice giants — which may be common around other stars, too.
So yes, NASA really does want to go much deeper into Uranus. Would you want to see a mission like this finally launch? 🚀
Another major Grok Build update just landed, packed with new features, extensive bug fixes, and meaningful performance improvements
Release Notes: v0.2.84 — 2026-07-03

• Ask-Question timeout can now be toggled from /settings (Agent & Approval).
• Thinking/reasoning blocks are now shown by default while the model is working.

• Hook matchers now correctly see the real MCP tool name instead of the internal dispatcher name.
• Copy now succeeds when running inside containers even when the terminal brand cannot be detected.
• Tool result previews no longer paint opaque panels in grok --minimal.
• grok wrap now correctly handles quoted strings and shell aliases.
• Text selection settings now correctly honor explicit keep_text_selection values even when legacy keys remain.
• Fixed a freeze that could occur when editing and sending the last message in the queue.
• Fixed a startup crash on minimal Linux systems lacking system CA certificates.
Performance:
• Grep now stops early on broad searches, returning faster results with far less memory use.
• Idle CPU and memory usage after long sessions or resume is now dramatically lower.

Finally, Grok’s Speech-to-Text is now live in Grok Build
You can now just dictate prompts directly to your coding agents using /voice or Ctrl + Space, powered by Grok Voice
Just talk naturally for like 15 minutes straight. Grok transcribes everything in real-time and gets to work instead of stopping to type every instruction
This makes it so much easier to:
• Brainstorm ideas while coding
• Describe complex changes conversationally
• Stay in flow without switching between keyboard and voice
• Interact with coding agents more naturally
As AI coding assistants get more capable, voice is becoming a first-class workflow in Grok Build
Huge unlock for anyone who thinks out loud or hates context switching

Paraguay is entering a new era of connectivity 🇵🇾
Paraguay is working with Starlink through MITIC and COPACO to bring high-speed internet to more than 1,600 schools in isolated areas
This will connect 50,000+ students and teachers to online learning, digital libraries, collaboration tools, and new opportunities
A satellite in orbit can now change the future of a classroom full of students on the ground
In 1825, a rich Welsh industrialist bought an entire American town to prove that socialism could work.
He had the money, the buildings, the theory, and hundreds of eager followers waiting to move in.
Two years later, it was over. 🧵
Teams recently completed build and acceptance testing of our 1,000th Merlin 1D engine for Falcon’s first stage! With Falcon’s reusability, recovering these engines has enabled continued reliability enhancements, making Merlin one of the most reliable rocket engines ever manufactured
