@DHKRULLAH Baba this guys dey play politics with the decision. The immigration figures this year which would actually be a negative and reduced revenue would determine the direction and likely a new PM fit change the whole direction. Read the attached picture
@Oluomoofderby@UKLabour Govt needs to choose their poison, ILR without benefit is way acceptable and make citizenship earned citizenship. Afterall the argument is about pressure on the welfare system. I agree that benefit should be for citizens and it should be earned. The uncertainty is devastating.
@Oluomoofderby@UKLabour Boss if retroactive was easy it would have been done. ILR without benefit and long way to earned citizenship will be a win for labour and silent all these unnecessary noise which are mostly political. Make them do wetin dem won do jare. I don taya sef. Its mentally draining.
@Oluomoofderby@UKLabour Labour went full right wing and how did that play out in the local elections? The migration figures of this year would make last years 171k look like a giant as we will reach net zero, but the goal post moved. Immigration has positive and negative impacts. 1/2
@Oluomoofderby@OsinachiNuel@UKLabour The 10yrs will go ahead, but retroactively is very shaky. I suspect transitional arrangements may happen. Recent backlash from the right has shown that regardless of how low immigration is the goal post is always on wheels. Media shapes public opinion.
@Jamie154182@Imogenlemon02@Jonathan_Hinder Oh yes i agree! But these low wage jobs are essential and the job they do as care workers is priceless! Its hard work and not every work needs to have economic benefit to the govt purse , however the brits need to do these jobs and govt needs to make the pay better.
@Jamie154182@Imogenlemon02@Jonathan_Hinder Ermm plot twist their adult dependant also work. Sadly and they dnt claim benefits because they are NRPF. 71% of them the ONS have this data
@Funminz If i hear! Lol they wont ,They have started a narrative that it is highly skilled Brits that are emigrating π. When infact the data says that emigration has not increased but immigration itself has reduced. This shows labour cant do anything to appeal to these voters no trust.
@Stolear@eRotation@timespolitics Also labourβs policy is even tougher and i am sure the figures will be way lower than last year. The monthly visa issued has dropped drastically and itβs likely the uk have a net zero or negative.
@Oluomoofderby@Keir_Starmer Lol! I understand, i like the @Keir_Starmer but i think he needs to weather the storm and hopefully things gets settled and not out of hand
