Horrifying:
"Yesterday it emerged that some major UK companies are going to microchip their employees using the same tech implanted in pets... It’s since been reported that UK firm BioTech has already fitted 150 implants in the UK."

so if you pointed out my take leads to bi erasure, you're right. i should have done more research into the history of bi erasure and i was enlightened by a couple bi friends. but if you called this lesbophobic, nah, it ain't. lesbians can still have some attraction to men.
yer reminder that lesbian doesn't mean exclusively wlw. back in the 80's and before it meant the same as being sapphic/gay woman but shitty 'political lesbians' ended up changing what it means.
bi, pan, poly, demi, etc. lesbians exist and are ultra valid.
@Dustfeather1 this is far from conversion therapy rhetoric. i'm not just doing this in service of people's feelings, but because our identity shouldn't ever be a point for casual debate where some people's whole definition of themselves hangs in the balance.
@Dustfeather1 i said *can* and not will. some lesbians have different experiences and levels of attraction than others. while awful perspectives like that of compulsory heterosexuality must be stopped this has nothing to do with the many lesbians who may have some attraction to men
@dead_grrrl@baphaled i think the retaliation people recieve for identiying that way is a lot more, and alot more hurtful than the erasure they contribute to. i'd suppose these people would give up this identity if it was insincere and also bringing so much attacks, no?
i am not the best with wording so it didn't translate well to what i meant. i just wanted to give some validation to a few people, but thousands of people believed it warranted harrassment. y'alls culture is toxic.

@dead_grrrl i don't think it hurts lesbians at all
i hope this take is a bit better. i still don't plan on throwing friends who identify as both under the bus
@dead_grrrl i'm just straight up no fan of policing identity. i'll trust people to be who they say they are, because everyone's identity and expression is different and i might not comprehend it. my take should be more along the lines of i'm not gonna police lesbianism,
@dead_grrrl wholly agree with the article. if someone calls themselves lesbian because they fear biphobia, then it's 100% erasure, but what i'm not gonna do is question the identities of people who insist they like using the label lesbian because maybe that is what makes them feel valid
