Jeff Bezos says taxing people who make around $50,000 a year is “absurd” and thinks many lower-income Americans shouldn’t pay any federal income tax.
He cited examples like an Amazon employee earning $50,000 and a nurse earning $75,000, saying the money they send to Washington would do more good in their own pockets.
Bezos noted that the bottom half of taxpayers account for only a small portion of federal income tax revenue, arguing that cutting their tax bill to zero would have little impact on government finances but could greatly help working families.
Lebanese government @nawafsalam should immediately submit a formal request to the Trump administration and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent to include Lebanon in the plan to use frozen Iranian assets for rebuilding.
After years of Iranian’s backed Hezbollah dragging Lebanon into conflict and destruction, it’s only fair that Iranian money helps rebuild what Tehran helped destroy.
Gulf allies are already in line , Lebanon must join them now.

Look I know that the Lebanese state doesn’t have the capacity to disarm Hezbollah but we need to come up with the ways and means to help them. Only that will save Lebanon.
To hear a Lebanese leader speak this way is remarkable.
And the fact that the US is now enabling Iran to have a say in what will happen in Lebanon is not helping him
🚨Dear Western audience, listen to the people of the region when they tell you that Hezbollah is the real obstacle to future peace between Lebanon and Israel.
Lebanon is struggling to regain its sovereignty from an Iranian-backed militia that has hijacked its future.
🚩Naim Qassem’s entire position survives on one move: equating Hezbollah’s arsenal with Lebanon’s sovereignty, so that giving up the gun reads as surrendering the nation. Fouad Makhzoumi just took the word back. He reframed the state’s monopoly on arms as the Lebanese project itself, the first war-and-peace decision Beirut would make in generations, instead of one taken in Tehran.
That reframe is lethal, and here is why. Hezbollah’s survival never depended on its rockets alone. It depended on framing disarmament as a foreign, sectarian plot. The moment a Sunni parliamentary voice and a leader calls it the national project, hours after Washington and the Lebanese state carved out pilot zones the army alone will control, hezbollah’s cover collapses.
Makhzoumi has put war and peace back where they belong, in the hands of the state. And he named the part Hezbollah cannot answer: that peace is not the threat to Lebanon; the gun that forbids it is.
Today, Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control designated Nobitex, Iran’s largest digital asset exchange, along with three other Iranian digital asset exchanges, as part of Economic Fury and the Trump Administration’s efforts to eliminate the threat posed by the Iranian regime.
If Israel had attacked four countries tonight, the podcaster class would be up in arms.
Iran just attacked four countries, they haven’t said a word.
Weird.
Under capitalism, socialists are free to build socialism.
Under socialism, capitalists aren’t free to build anything.
Nothing stops a group of socialists pooling their money, forming a company, and splitting every wage and every pound of profit perfectly equally.... Or to donate all profit to the government.
It’s legal. It’s easy. Owning the means of production is as simple as setting up a company.
Marx wrote his manifesto before the invention of limited liability companies. Back then “seize the factory” meant seizing it from the handful of families who could afford one.
That argument expired the day anyone could start a company with limited liability, raise investment and hire who they want.
Socialists are free to lead by example and demonstrate their system works. They can out-recruit, out-motivate, out-build and out innovate based on their ideas if they like. It would prove the philosophy works. Capitalism will happily host their experiment.
The fact that nobody does this tells you a lot.
Update: Rawad was quickly charged and accused of
1: collaboration with the enemy
2: call for occupation
3: insulting the national identity
Charges that range between life in prison and execution.
Charges will extend to restaurant owner and attendance who clapped.
Rawad is pleading his speech was influenced by alcohol,
This is the lebanese gov that some consider -not hezbollah- but really just deep state in suits.
Lebanese Christian Rawad Nassar says either Hezbollah surrenders its arms to the Lebanese state, or let the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) invade the Lebanon all the way to Batroun (in the north).
Nassar has since felt scared and said if he survives (without Hezbollah eliminating him) he promises that video will be his last drunk moment.
65 percent of the Lebanese population, minus the Shia, support peace with Israel. Even if Nassar was drunk and later felt the heat, he expressed his true sentiment, and that of the majority of the Lebanese.
Nothing changes the fact that the president of the world's most powerful nation is negotiating with the world's largest terrorist organization, giving it exactly what it wants: legitimacy.
