@JacobtheGamer_ Exactly 💯
For a while I was Super active on X. Then I thought; I'm not actually living if I'm hoping from space to space and running from one comments to another. It was fun while it lasted but then I realized I had to be more intentional, more real so I don't burnout.
Don’t read this if your account is doing great.
Seriously it’s too long and can only be read and understood by people crazy as I am.
Probably won’t even learn anything..
You have been warned. 🚩
PSA:
Why growing and sustaining on X feels harder for big creators and why that’s actually a feature, not a bug.
The old playbook is dead.
You drop a banger post, ride a trend early, or go viral once and boom, 20k+ followers.
In the past, you could coast on that momentum for months. Post sporadically, chase impressions, lean on gimmicks.
Many big creators are still stuck reposting YouTube or TikTok clips hoping for easy reach, yet the algorithm no longer rewards that recycled content with real payouts or sustained visibility.
Not anymore.
X’s algorithm now prioritizes real community, consistent engagement, and sustained value over flash in the pan virality.
Big accounts are freaking out because their impressions and engagement are tanking despite massive follower counts.
Posts that used to pull millions now feel throttled. Creators who built empires on broadcasting are suddenly invisible unless they grind replies, build relationships, and show up authentically every day.
The negative impact? It turns massive accounts into slaves to gimmicks and trends EVEN HARDER.
Chasing every algorithm shift. Posting ragebait or low effort content for quick dopamine.
Burning out while ignoring their actual audience. It creates fragile growth huge numbers on paper, but hollow connection and declining returns.
Many feel like they’re doing slave labor for scraps of reach.
This shift forces everyone especially big creators to do the hard, unsexy work.
Here is all you have to do and I’m only gonna say this once.
1. Community build, actually get to know your followers.
2. Engage deeply, reply, converse, ask questions, listen.
3. Become a Multimedia storytelling. Mix text, video, images, threads.
4. HOST SPACES, they suck for now they won’t always.
We all have to master the rules.
It’s not easy.
It requires beating your head against the wall, iterating, and treating X like a relationship, not a megaphone.
But here’s proof there is a better way.
Me and my community.
In 7 months I built and connected with people in a way to promote genuine growth, I got fully monetized in two months and now get paid well by X for posts like this one right now.
Plus I have almost 20 Premium subscribers who value the real talk and I love every freaking one of them.
I am not bragging.
I am not perfect.
I am a dummy.
But I am also showing the contrast. Many accounts 25x my size get worse results and lower real engagement because they are still playing the old game.
Or paying for the virality, one way or another.
I focus on being me, replying thoughtfully, sharing life lessons from my actual experiences, avoiding reply chasing for fake impressions, (because I’m monetized) and building a home timeline that IS a community.
My posts are not optimized for virality. They are optimized for connection.
Real people stick around, engage, subscribe, and support.
To creators feeling burned out or invisible, do not give up.
Stop chasing the old dopamine of massive one off virality. Get back to being real, authentic, and engaged with your audience. Treat it like building a neighborhood, not a stadium.
Reply like a human, not a bot.
Tell stories from your actual life.
Post consistently but sustainably.
Focus on quality relationships over quantity of eyeballs.
The algorithm is pushing us toward this because shallow growth does not create a healthy platform. Big creators who adapt will build deeper, more resilient audiences. Those who do not will keep burning out on trends.
X rewards the patient, the authentic, the community focused now. The slaves to gimmicks era is fading and that is good for all of us who want something real.
Who is with me? Drop a reply if you are shifting to community over clout. Let us build something better.
@D_ProGuy The algorithm is actually people (you and I). If people ignore your post the algorithm would. If they engage, the algorithm would push it to more people
