DeFi has the infrastructure for real institutional-grade investment management.
What’s been missing is the honesty about what’s being built, and the maturity to build it right.
The industry doesn’t have a curator problem. It has an honesty problem.
DeFi "curators" are investment managers.
They make discretionary allocation decisions with your capital. They charge fees. They do it as a regular business.
That’s investment management. The word "curator" doesn’t change what they are.
The fix isn’t complicated.
If you’re managing money, be a money manager. Register. Build compliance infrastructure. Accept fiduciary responsibility, because your clients are already trusting you with it whether you’ve called it that or not.
@andrewhong5297 Absolutely agree. Vaults are the wrapper, what is inside needs to be properly disclosed and risk adjusted. Also agree with @0xodus that its even worse from the inside. I have spent the past several years watching how these vaults and curators operate.
Count myself lucky to have been able to represent @arkonixXYZ at the wonderful event put on by @Quintesorg and @draper_u. It was nice to speak to all things tokenization, Shariah and finance!
RWAs are quietly becoming one of the biggest shifts in global finance. But the real questions start now: who builds the infrastructure, who captures the liquidity, and can web3 actually create a more open financial system?
Listen to our CEO @oxgato dig into it live on #LunaTalks Ep. 5, alongside:

RWAs are quietly becoming one of the biggest shifts in global finance.
What started as a crypto experiment is now being embraced by major institutions, from on-chain markets to blockchain-based settlement. But as tokenization goes mainstream, the real questions begin.
Who builds the infrastructure? Which networks capture the liquidity? And can Web3 actually create a more open financial system for everyone?
These are the questions we'll be exploring live.
Join us for #LunaTalks Ep 5, live on X Spaces, featuring:

Two years ago I was talking with a fund manager. She told me "I'll put money on chain the day I don't have to have translate transaction hashes to see where my capital is".
I have thought about that conversation every day since....
The least glamorous meeting we have every week is the risk review.
No new features, no growth charts, just "what could break, and who's exposed if it does."
It's also the most important hour on my calendar.
Spent two weeks rebuilding how we reconcile NAV across chains. Tedious, invisible work — the kind allocators never see and always feel. Shipped it today. The number's honest on five chains now, not one. Boring. Proud of it.
Two years ago an allocator told me: "I'll put my money on chain the day there are actual risk parameters built in".
I have thought about that sentence every day since. Its the entire company.
I care about this more than almost anything we've built. "Trust us" are the two words that should end every allocator conversation. The whole point of Arkonix is that you never have to say them, the number proves itself.
Every vault share is a claim on real assets. So how do you keep that number honest, in real time, while capital moves across chains? A short thread on how NAV actually works at Arkonix
