Release 20 is LIVE & bringing even more network performance. Jumbo frame support for external networks ( already used internally) raises instance MTU from 1500 to 8500, substantial for network IO-intensive workloads, plus additional update and block storage services goodness.
The Oxide team just got a raise 🚀
This is our third raise since last September: $207k -> $235k -> $250k -> $275k. The same salary for all non-variable comp folks.
And yes, we're hiring!
Jumbo frames at the edge (324% external throughput), CPU placement, flow parallelism, and IPv6 inside and out.
Performance is like an ~~onion~~ parfait. It has layers.
When you’re building distributed systems from the ground up, every layer is a place where you can make the network faster.
Steve Karam just pushed his first (of many) Oxide blogs on tuning network performance across an Oxide system.

Why should owning your compute on-prem mean giving up the cloud computing experience? Our CEO @sdtuck sat down with @theCUBE at the @NYSE to talk about what happens when you design hardware and software together.

Looking for a designer to join me at @oxidecomputer (as the second full-time designer). Fully remote, $250k, LOTS of autonomy. Feel free to reach out directly if you have any questions.

We raised a $200M Series C, now we're putting it to work.
New compute sleds with the latest @AMDServer EPYC CPUs are coming and we're working with @XsightLabs on next-gen switch silicon with a fully open ISA.
@TheRegister has the details: https://t.co/OOWioIaSXt
Each year the @oxidecomputer team comes together and meets at an internal conf. It's a good excuse to make something pretty. This year it's a coin, with a snapshot of our compute sled's PCB and modular logo.

Matthew Sanabria (@sudomateo), Solutions Software Engineer for @oxidecomputer, joins us on stage to share insights. Don't miss their session "Developing Kubernetes Integrations for the On-Premises Cloud" at #AllThingsOpen! https://t.co/6tyYzQ8PpS
Why go to #TalosCon2025?
Because hearing @bcantrill of @oxidecomputer speak is always worth the trip.
This year, he’s diving into "The Complexity of Simplicity." You’re going to want to be in the room for this one.

We had big news last week! Today on Oxide and Friends, @ahl and I will be joined by @sdtuck to discuss the significance of our Series B milestone -- and to regale us with the fundraising journey. Join us, 5p Pacific!

@kesavkolla Because we're responsible for the hardware and software, we don't support adding your own PCIe devices to the system. We build in the capabilities that our customers need natively and expose them via useful API abstractions.
