Oxnard Watch Dog

Keeping a close eye on all things relevant to the beautiful city of Oxnard. Don’t let those wicked politicians, developers, and scums take advantage of it

Universal Structural Building Corp. just got contracted to work at 24 E. Santa Clara St. in #Ventura. Wow, it’s crazy that such a reputable company like @GreystarApts would scrape the bottom of the barrel. #WageTheft #WakeUpVentura #805Strong #ImpactsMe #CriminalContractors

Ok, so what’s really going on here? Can someone enlighten us please. What do @NFL @dallascowboys football players have to do with any of this? I thought they supported our community. Didn’t they just donate some $$$ to the @CityofOxnard ?

[805 Rat Busters @805RatBuster]

@AntwaunWoods_ how do you feel about @DCHLexusofOxnar contributing to the erosion of area standards for carpenter craft work. Many Carpenters in @CityofOxnard are @dallascowboys and @USC fans. They’re not happy being cheated! #Hotboyz #DontBlink #FightOn #Fairwages

Wow. What’s going on over there? I thought they supported our local community in many ways.

[805 Rat Busters @805RatBuster]

@DCHLexusofOxnar You should have considered our local workforce before you decided to contribute to the erosion of area standard wages. Shame on you and your choice of contractors.

@vcstar This is a job site where NO Veterans were hired to build Veteran housing. Many of the guys I spoke to were from Lancaster, Ontario and Santa Maria. Why do we need people from other counties building what our locals can do. Isn’t this job prevailing wage? Local tax money is lost.

Save your city. Get out and vote! @CityofOxnard @GreaterOxnDems

@IBEW @LIUNA Are any of your apprentices on this job?

@vcstar My Veteran neighbor walked onto a construction site today to look for work. He was turned away because they weren’t hiring. Frustrated he asked how many veterans were hired to work on the Veterans Housing project in south Oxnard? Great question... any info?
