I agree with you mostly. And I’ve lived this. Short term therapy for serious psychological problems can be extremely helpful. Although most of the time I was in it, I thought it was bullshit. Long-term therapy is the devil. There’s an argument in psychiatry that mental healthcare is just like if you break a bone. You would get the bone fixed wouldn’t you? And yes, I agree with that. But you wouldn’t keep going back to your doctor every week to get your bone fixed. That’s the point I’m making.
