I don’t think Liverpool fans take enough time to reflect on who we are and where we’ve come from.

The older generations who watched us in the 70s/80s, you guys are the heart and soul of this club and you set the standards and we dream of being you.

But I grew up with Liverpool being a club which had special moments but was never consistently a top team.

I still remember the day Fenway Sports Group took over. I remember being glued to Sky Sports News while they were live at the offices of law firm Slaughter and May and seeing our interim Chairman Martin Broughton unveil John Henry to the reporters and announce they had taken over.

I didn’t know at that point that it would be the start of a journey for Liverpool which would see us regain our place at the very top of Europe’s elite. I only had hope. I prayed on that moment and I asked God for that moment to be the turning point in my club’s story.
