I read through the AleaResearch breakdown of GOATNetwork yesterday and it really stands out as a solid path for making Bitcoin work harder while keeping its core security intact.

Bitcoin is the best place to keep value, but most of the time it just stays unused. The usual ways to earn from it depend on copies of BTC, third parties or setups that aren’t fully decentralized. Even many Bitcoin layer 2 still rely too much on central control and don’t give strong enough rewards to those who support the network.

There comes GOATRollup taking a different approach, a zkRollup built directly on Bitcoin. Fees are paid with sats, and users earn real BTC. Rewards come from real activity on the network, not from creating new tokens
