This same person insists that many communities who speak Igbo till date and whose kings bear Igbo title Obi amongst many other wider Igbo cultural practices are not Igbo but from Benin...... smh @ifeora90
It baffles me "they migrated from the core of the Owo Kingdom" but some how they speak edo language till date, they use edo title for their king Odionlogbo as applicable to Uhobe and use in particular Benin court title but somewhere along the ine you want us to believe they are from owo...
And also it's called Uzagba, they migrated from Uhobe in owan area and both towns are very much aware of their twin nature...
Eze Chima was not a king.
Eze means leader in Igbo.
A King might be referred to as Eze but not all Eze are kings.
Eze Nwanyi, Eze Nwata, Eze Obi etc refer to leaders.
Eze Chima was like Moses who led a group of his followers (Umu Eze Chima) from Idu to escape subjugation.
There's reason you're given brain,read.
When you see Ndigbo talk about Agha Idu N'α»bΓ‘ that's war of Idu and α»bΓ‘ of Bini and ΓzΓ¨ Chima that's King Chima and his companions retuning to found many Igbo towns, they are talking about this which William Bosman confirmed in 1705. Okpo
@ifeora90 Idu people were not under Eze Nri, Idu was egalitarian like Igbo society across the Niger.
Monarchy systems were introduced to Idu by the Binis, by installing vasal chiefs (todays Obi's) across communities in Idu land.
@OkoromaB@Edocentric_ These Benin people deliberately claim Benin Kingdom as an ethnicity which is funny.
Edo is actually their ethnicity.
Aboh might have been under the Benin kingdom but they clearly not Edos.
@Edocentric_@OkoromaB And the people they conquered vanished into thin air.
Isn't it amazing that the culture and language of the conquerors also vanished from a location less than a 100km from their homeland.
Ika land is a stone throw away from Benin, yet Benin people there lost their language
No one eats ancestor food, not only Igbo.
The infatuation these people have for Igbos, need to be studied.
From their politicians, scholars, clergymen, royals, policemen and now social media influencers.
I have so much respect for them but this can't be healthy.
βThe youngest Nigerian cuisine is the Igbo cuisine, itβs less than 100 years but they will never agree. Most of the Igbo dishes that you think are ancient are post World War..β

@Unruly_BlackSon@DanHiep12177@Samek_Samek@ifeora90 They trace their ancestry to Idu not Benin.
They are not the same.
Idu contained many indigenous Igboid people, these migrants were never Edo.
Degema people are Edo migrants from Idu, they still speak Edoid language.
Edo and Igbo language are very unrelated.

There are accounts of the location & age and even the archiologists who discovered the glass works.
Not like your fake Ife myths
@FreeEvidence@ShellMedicine You people with this your fake ile-ife myths.
So every development in Yoruba land happened in Ile-Ife.
You can't even make up a credible lie...
I know many Yorubas who will slap you if you bring this ile-ife story to their midst.
Liars...
