I don’t know how to explain it, but there’s something different about starting your week on your knees before God. The week just feels different afterward. It can’t be just me.

Living from one escape to the next, excessive drinking, weed, porn, partying, and chasing distractions, you’re already losing! Life doesn’t hand anyone their place. You have to stay disciplined, stay focused, and fight for it every single day. I wish more people understood this.

Some people can speak to you for five minutes and leave you inspired for the entire week. Keep those people close they’re fuel for your growth, purpose, and success.

How this shapes my work now:

• Testing with real users early
• Setting performance budgets
• Documenting as I build

I'm always curious to meet others solving real problems with software. What’s the biggest production lesson YOU learned this year?

A grounding perspective:
Months after a project ships, no one remembers clever architecture or elegant state management. They remember whether the app worked when they needed it and whether it made their day easier.

1. Engineering excellence isn’t the same as user value

I spent two weeks optimizing a search from 200ms to 50ms. Users barely noticed. But adding a simple “Save for later” feature immediately boosted engagement. Users care more about solutions than technical brilliance.
