A little update on our Beesuit production journey! 🐝🧵❤️
Our first batch of 10 Beesuits is gradually coming to life, from cutting the fabrics to sewing each piece.
But this is about more than just making Beesuits. Our goal is to make protective gear readily available to farmers and aspiring beekeepers, so they don’t have to wait too long before getting started.
Every Beesuit we produce brings us one step closer to our mission of saving more bees and making beekeeping accessible to more people. 🐝🌱

I started selling honey and getting into beekeeping before my 9–5, and even while working, I was still keeping bees, creating content, making Beesuits and building Nectar Luxe.

Beekeeping needs attention, but with the right knowledge and time management, it can fit alongside other things you’re already doing.

You can start small. You can learn. You can build gradually.

And who knows? The little space you create for the bees today might become something much bigger tomorrow.

Reposting this for those who really want to go into beekeeping, especially those interested in establishing an apiary for honey production. 🐝
I’ve been receiving inquiries from people who want to establish their own apiaries and are asking how quickly they can start getting honey after investing in beekeeping.
And this is a reminder: Beekeeping requires patience.
If your main goal is to go into beekeeping for honey production, you need to understand that the bees must thrive first. You cannot rush the process simply because you have invested money and want returns immediately.
Bees are far beyond honey. They play a vital role in our ecosystem through pollination, and they also provide other valuable products such as beeswax, propolis, pollen, and more.
So, before you invest in beekeeping, ask yourself: Do I have the patience to learn, observe, and care for these colonies?
Because beekeeping is not just about how quickly you can get honey. It is about building healthy colonies and understanding the responsibility that comes with managing bees.
The bees must thrive first. 🐝🌱

A call to all farmers across Africa: the future of agriculture is buzzing around you. 🌍

Some of you may have already noticed bees foraging on your crops or flowering plants. Don’t overlook that. That could be a sign of an opportunity right there on your farm.

But before you start beekeeping, there are important things to consider… from forage availability and water to hive placement, safety, seasons, pesticide use and security.

The goal is bigger than just keeping bees. We want to make raw, authentic honey and other bee products more accessible in Nigerian markets, while creating more opportunities within the beekeeping value chain.

Our first hive installation on a farm in Nasarawa State, Nigeria, and seeing the bees colonize the hive in just 24 hours is a HUGE sign. 🥹🔥🐝

It’s honestly a little sad that I wasn’t able to experience this one physically, but I’m so glad to see the vision slowly becoming reality — one farm at a time.

We need bees in our ecosystem, and we’re happy to play our own little part by providing them with a home and creating more awareness about the incredible work they do. 🐝🌱

But beyond that, there’s so much potential in beekeeping that we’re yet to fully tap into. From honey and other bee products to the role bees play in pollinating our crops, there is so much more to these incredible insects than we realise.

So this is a call to farmers: look around your farm. There may be room for bees too. 🐝

Our goal is to contribute to increasing access to genuine honey and other bee products in Nigeria, while helping more farmers discover the opportunities that beekeeping can bring to their farms.
