oysttyer

What was once TTYtter: an interactive console text-based command-line Twitter client and Perl platform (whew!)

[oysttyer @oysttyer]

@garrett_wollman @johnhawkinson @Twitter It can! Version 2.10.0 bumped the character limit, or you can set the linelength and quotelinelength settings to 280 and 256 respectively.

[oysttyer @oysttyer]

@vlb I'm wayyyyyyyyyyy out there

[oysttyer @oysttyer]

@phoenixthewizar That's up to your terminal. Setting your `LANG` environment variable to something that doesn't support emoji (e.g. 'us.ascii') might do that.

[oysttyer @oysttyer]

@jrredho It's a known issue, but I thought it was something Twitter broke for all third-party clients. Guess I was wrong (again!)

[oysttyer @oysttyer]

@Sixtyforce64 What are you having trouble with?

[oysttyer @oysttyer]

@KMigrane Unfortunately. Twitter keeps making it harder and harder to use third-party clients.

@Tengushee Thanks for the kind words

[Tengushee @Tengushee]

Really enjoying @oysttyer - great work, simple but extremely effective in having a timeline "conversation" in a more "at a glance" setting.

[oysttyer @oysttyer]

@Foone @needydev Whaaaaaaaat?! Do you have a blog post about this? I'd love to see more

[oysttyer @oysttyer]

@j_angliss Hooray! Glad it's working.

@xinyimm We have strong opinions about Twitter's API.

[Jem Cope - Looking for Work @JemWritesCode]

So one of my projects was simply to "tweet from the command line". Took more time than expected to find something that plays well with the school's install permissions + is up to date with Twitter. @oysttyer to the rescue! Here's how it was done. https://t.co/8WPBEru23j

[Jamie Dawson @JamieDawsonCode]

Tweeting for the first time from the command line! I'm using oysttyer and it's very easy to use.

[oysttyer @oysttyer]

@TheJemmeh It worked!

#oysttyer 2.10.0 is out! It includes catching up to modern limits, the death of the streaming API, and a "separator" setting: https://t.co/ZPnDxq98aA
