@alivebonecat@IzvoshraTidus@spritzdurr@royharpersmom Emma thought that storm had destroyed Emma’s body in an explosion prompting Emma to believe that storm was dead and she had nowhere to go. So when her and Shaw had relations Emma genuinely believed that was her new body and appearance.
@LivinlgndKiller@xevekiah I don’t doubt that you care for victims, and I do wish that people had a world where you’d be safe to speak up, but unfortunately that’s not the case. That’s why we need to give victims the grace and support of being there for them When they do eventually speak up.
@LivinlgndKiller@xevekiah If you’ve never been raped or gone through sexual assault you don’t get to dictate when someone does speak up. It takes genuine courage and the ability to come to terms with what happened in order to do so. It’s easier said than done.
@MavoWorld@xevekiah Rape isn’t the same as everything else you listed. When you rape someone, you’re taking away their freedom, their bodily autonomy. You can never give it back to them. You will never have to deal with the pain you put someone through. Please think.
@LivinlgndKiller@xevekiah It shouldn’t matter if they spoke up ten years ago or ten seconds ago, what matters is that they were raped. It’s hard to speak out about it because of the internalized shame, the fear of not being believed, watching people choose them over you. Smh
i’ve read the book. i refuse to watch the movie bc the actress playing lo was sexually exploited. lolita is horror novel not a taboo romance. if you watch it thinking its a romance, you’re a pedo
