@1llegalEngineer Look man I’m not trying to challenge your claim hahah. I’m actually currently considering an engineering degree and have been thinking about the path you took as well. How long did it take you to get there? I’m interested in that independent path as an alternative
My memory about a mega man action figure I had when I was little might be the earliest memory I have
I can’t really think of something that reaches farther back
I remember how I was lyin on the carpet of the living room and playing with this action figure while my brother was doing something different near me
It was somewhat dark. As if the only light present was the light that was needed for me to see the action figure
@1llegalEngineer I know I’m asking if you did
There are obviously exceptional people but I’d guess that they are extremely rare, especially for actual engineering and not just software
Don’t get offended bro I’m just curious
@DionysianAgent Riding a tiger and having fire in your blood is the feeling I associate with this
And also the hate against people who can’t seem to see their obvious failure or failing the courage to correct it if they see it
But what would be wrathful wisdom/compassion?
There are people who make content about how being an employee means that you are a slave and how employees are unable to think and are cowards etc etc
Then they want to convince you that you should start a business to become free
They refuse to mention, however, that you need to work a lot more than in a job if you actually want to launch a business, and what’s even more hilarious is that they fail to mention that you need to hire those employees that were previously insulted
The fact that these people are doing this shows that they have no real business and are desperate to stop working on their one-man info scam business where they sell you a dream
All the “info” they provide can be generated from one not so complicated llm prompt
They are right about one thing tho; a lot of people actually are slaves because they are unable to see through another form of bullshit
I don’t get the point of putting electrolytes into my water intentionally. Aren’t they already in my food?
I eat food with electrolytes and I drink water next to it. What more is needed?
No real entrepreneur would ever talk down on employees, and if 99% of people are slaves then that’s a stupid market to pick for a cheap course or or online community membership. Shit doesn’t add up
@fabianschmid_09 Are you lost in the opposite extreme tho? Not saying that you are but when someone experiences trauma from something a common response is to maximize the opposite neurotically. Do you still practice things that improve you or improve others, or is all you do enjoying your life?
Porn consumption is an energy problem. You don’t have enough energy. Every time a tiny bit of energy comes your way you don’t want it to go to waste (since you know it’ll only last shortly) so you want to get rewarded immediately, hence you jerk off.
So maybe just try increasing your energy. The best vehicles for that are cardio training, healthy meals, good sleep, and a reason to live. A main quest is needed.
If you can generate enough energy you will do things that can bring you greater rewards than porn. You can actually become an attractive man because you’re actually living life.
What am I doing wrong? Where am I telling myself lies?
I want to be an engineer. So going to college for it makes sense. At least for the bachelors. Why can’t my mind accept that?
I’m too childish still. I must become a man. I must take my studies seriously, continue to train in the gym, really start paying attention to eating more healthy, and build more projects.
I should not only try to create projects for fun (although that is in fact important) but I should try to create real products. Actual solutions to problems that other people have. The money will follow.
I guess I just haven’t learned that committing to something longterm pays off. That’s because I never committed to something longterm. I think my professional path is the perfect place to make this commitment to commitment my main quest.
One ultimate goal right now, and after that goal has been achieved, the next one. Every single goal must be created and decided only after the previous goal has been achieved, otherwise I cannot be truly open to the truth.
I must follow the truth. Once a goal has been set it means that a decision has been made. Achieve goal or die trying. There is also failure of course, but that rarely actually happens if you create reasonable goals (goals that are achievable and not dependent on too many variables that you cannot control).
So let’s go
