Here is a shot of the River Tromie from my bike ride today. Very beautiful and amazing weather for a ride. Now all I need is the feeling to return my butt cheeks and I will be good as new! Figure a beer in the garden will sort me out.

So we made it up Meall a’Bhuachaille today. Proper mountain and proper hike. Felt good except when a family with 2 kids under 10 literally jogged past us going up the steep slope. Luckily - I have nothing to prove and slowly plodded and wheezed my way up!

Well #NoMowMay is going well. The cowslips are done now but lots of insects and the birds love it. Will cut the edge and leave a meadow in the middle. Easy to do and looks good.

@WiltsWildlife had a wonderful day at the 60th Anniversary bash at @HouseofCommons Young ambassadors and some of us older types all celebrated 60 years of the Trust and it’s many volunteers, supporters and staff working for wildlife in Wiltshire.

After much consternation and contemplation I sat down and wrote out the first draft of my @DxSalisbury talk. Now the real work begins!

So I am doing a @DxSalisbury talk on the 20th of May. Both exciting and rather daunting. However, looking at the other excellent speakers I realised I really need a better professional profile picture. Mine looks like a selfie taken in a cupboard!
