📢 Kyiv RIGHT NOW❗️
IF LONDON 🇬🇧 looked like this every channel on the planet would cover it.
IF BERLIN 🇩🇪 did people would care.
IF WASHINGTON DC 🇺🇲 did then russia wouldn't exist anymore.
But because it's the capital of Ukraine 🇺🇦 the world scrolls on, @BBCNews, @SkyNews?
“There is only one aggressor in this war, and that is Russia… They could stop the war… just by withdrawing,” says Finnish President @alexstubb.
Importantly, he adds, “we will never recognize the Crimean peninsula as part of Russia. We’ve had a similar experience” in Finland.
Russia is closer to losing than Ukraine will ever be. Just stop throwing Putin lifelines with negotiations and diplomacy he only exploits for time. Crushing sanctions on Russia, overwhelming military support for Ukraine—both should have been in place from the start.
So, the latest idea is to threaten Russia with “crippling” consequences IF Putin does not agree to a ceasefire.
OK, but why wait? Why are these crippling consequences not already happening after three years of outrages? Were those outrages not outrageous enough?
Why is Putin being allowed to continue for even one more second while he supposedly considers maybe giving the orders to stop murdering and raping people?
We imposed “unprecedented sanctions”—and they didn’t force Putin to change his mind. So what does that tell us? Either sanctions don’t have any effect, or we held back and didn’t sanction Russia enough.
And all this time that we were holding back from “crippling” Russia, we were funneling them billions to build a war machine that now threatens Europe way beyond the borders of Ukraine.
Lenin said that the West will pay for the rope that Russia will use to hang us. Isn’t that what’s happening?
The war will be settled only when Putin understands that he cannot win on the battlefield, when Ukraine and the rest of Europe can be truly safe. We don’t need to wait for any extra justification to uphold international law and help Ukraine finally defeat Russia. Let’s stop with the “ifs” and get on with it already.
Viktor Orbán is a traitor to Europe, to Ukraine, to democracy.
His agents were caught spying in Ukraine to prep for a possible invasion.
And yet he still sits at the EU Council table, shaping our decisions.
How much longer will our leaders enable this?
The threat Russia poses to our national security cannot be underestimated.
To ramp up the pressure on Putin, I’m announcing the largest package of sanctions yet.
I will always do what it takes to safeguard working people.
Security at home. Strength abroad.
Finally, Germany has a Chancellor that isn't interested in protecting Putin's delicate feels.
Chancellor Freidrich Merz is asked if Ukraine will get Taurus missiles.
He nods and says "President Zelenskyy knows that he can rely on me and the Federal Republic of Germany."
Today, we celebrate Europe Day with Ukraine and its people.
Because in a family, both joys and hardships are shared.
Together with Foreign Ministers, we stand united with Ukraine for a lasting peace. For the future we believe in.
