Our President @OdileRenaud will visit Türkiye from 2 to 6 March, meeting senior officials and business leaders in Ankara and Istanbul.
The visit highlights Türkiye’s strategic importance, as we invested a record €2.7 billion in 2025.

Today, I had the pleasure of meeting @EBRD President @OdileRenaud as part of an inspiring event, celebrating the graduation of 400 young women trained in green railway technologies. We discussed the importance of inclusive employment, sustainable urban development, and Istanbul’s ongoing transformation through projects supported by the The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
Our collaboration with the #EBRD including initiatives like the Göztepe-Ataşehir-Ümraniye metro line and the upcoming launch of Istanbul’s Green City Action Plan, continues to strengthen our city’s resilience and livability. We look forward to hosting the EBRD Green Cities Platform meeting in 2025 as we advance towards a sustainable future for Istanbul and its people. 🌿
A pleasure to be in Turkiye again and to see @RTErdogan in Ankara this evening.
I reaffirmed the country's importance to @EBRD and welcomed its reform ambitions, which we are ready to support.
This includes its transition to a green economy.

It was a pleasure to see Mayor @imamoglu_int again on the first day of my latest trip to #Turkiye.
Our support for efficient, sustainable transport in Europe's largest city as part of our #EBRDGreenCities programme is a priority.
There is so much we can achieve together!
A year ago I told @ZelenskyyUa that @EBRD would commit up to €3 billion for #Ukraine over 2022-2023.
Today I can report that we have hit that target.
We will continue to be a steadfast partner to the country and its economy.
Thank you to our partners, donors and colleagues!
We've met our target of deploying €3 billion of financing in Ukraine’s real economy in 2022-23 to counter the impact of Russia’s war.
Our focus is on supporting energy security, vital infrastructure, food security, trade and the private sector.

Our #EBRDTurkiyeFamily is sending packages from the Ankara office straight to the areas affected by the earthquake today. Our drivers volunteered for driving the collected items, to make sure they reach the right parties.
Wishing luck in this important task!
We’re shocked and saddened by the earthquakes which have devastated parts of Türkiye today. A group of @EBRD staff have launched a community initiative project to provide urgent support for the affected areas. W/ @ihtiyacharitasi
