You're wrong. You are using Ai and going off of 1860 numbers because ai assumes its civil war related. By 1860 most northern states had already made slavery illegal. Slavery in the US did not start in the 1860s it ended in the 1860s.

But even by that metric you are skewing individual registered owners vs family households when nearly all of it was by household.
Again it was much higher in 1790 and even worse in the Caribbean which were absolutely still slaves for American businesses. One of the reasons the North could outlaw slavery was because their slavers and slave products were in the Caribbean or in the South. In this way they had free black labor but didnt have to live with them.
