We just published "Blockchain (not) for Everyone: Design Challenges of Blockchain-based Applications" in @acm_chi

Are public blockchain apps usable enough for mass adoption? (Spoiler: no). Our take on this thread by our lead coauthor:
"To permeate the mainstream, blockchain technology should be easily accessible to the general public. Results unveil that even users familiar with technology experienced severe difficulties using blockchain-based apps." - @samerP2P

The Institute for the Cooperative Digital Economy at @TheNewSchool is currently accepting fellowship applications for 2023-2024. https://t.co/JZV6VVpgWo
Do you have any other ideas that we could implement in our processes? Do you implement other good practices that could be inspiring? Do you have feedback on how to improve ours? Please let us know!
Last but not least, in our research, one of our recurrent topics is the inequality within online communities, e.g. who participates more, or other power dynamics https://t.co/X2wQy3mbcv
Interesting conversation between @samerP2P and @rufuspollock, on Decentralization, Platform monopolies and Web3. Listen to the podcast 👂👇https://t.co/KGC5eHTDRt
🚀🚀 Chain Community launches a new version of DAO-Analyzer, a web dashboard that shows the state and evolution of DAOs. Check it here 👇🏾 https://t.co/XHuY4zmqCK
DAO-Analyzer retrieves the data from the different blockchains using @graphprotocol, an indexing protocol for querying decentralized networks such as @ethereum@gnosischain, @Polygon , etc. Using this protocol, we get the public data stored on the blockchain about each DAO.
