@claudeai .@AnthropicAI are you drip-feeding us Fable access to stress-test something? Is it @SpaceXAI Colossus? I bet 50+% of the past week's usage was people binge-burning the expiring plan tokens, just fooling around. That must have cost you a fortune to subsidise.
@kelseyhightower [Embedded C/C++ programmer here] C/C++ is hard to learn and master. Server C/C++ is even harder. Embedded C/C++ is crazy hard. And can't easily do C/C++ Smartphone Apps, while people tend to want to quickly "invent an App" and become a unicorn Tech CEO by the time they are 25.
@CANcrypt @kentindell At best case, there will be some bit timing mismatch or clock jitter and one of the two nodes will start transmission first, and manage to send the frame.
@CANcrypt @kentindell At worst case, if all the bit ovelaps are just perfect then this collision will keep happening until the one with the recessive DLC reaches active status and sends an active error frame, throwing them out of sync.
@kentindell The one with DLC 5 will complete the TX but won't get an ACK and keep re-TXing, and the other one will get Bit Error and +8 counter. Then depending on the bit overlaps it will probably get a form error. This could keep going until one starts TX first or reaches active error state
@RegGBlinker That's normal for a gov or gov-related positions (asks for SC). Gov salaries are on grades so they don't have much choice. And the high degree requirement helps also to root out the non-serious applicants as the hiring/clearance/onboarding process takes time and costs a lot.
@iNeal I assume that they will be taking it to the dealership rather than try fixing it in-place. See if you can get photos / video of the coding process if they send a techie to put it on limp mode to be able to load it to the flatbed.
@_specters_ A dict in Python or std::map in C++ should give you good speed and fairly simple code.
For maximum speed I'd go with C/C++ and a static allocation of a 64k u64 array for the counts.
@_specters_ In engineering the Lead is usually someone that has the power and responsibility to make decisions within the project team (of Engineers that can only do what they are assigned to). Could be a level before Senior or could be assigned per project (Tech Lead just for that project).
