@FrontRowBrian the strickland ticket should have been offered to aspinall in the first place
there is stuff going on between aspinall and ufc that we don’t know about, because otherwise it seems ufc (or dana) are not trying to make life easier on themselves
I would take a @ThugnastyMMA level power drill accident to the groin for this fight. If you guys want to see it let it be known, it's the only way it will happen. @ufc@danawhite.
this is where netflix and mvp come in. if fighters break if off with ufc, they now have a legitimate place to go
that’s why i always saw them as a threat to ufc - they make mma fights with a boxing business model
this is the funny thing about mma. aspinall and jones have a contract. their contracts come with a purse depending on a bunch of conditions probably
but if fighters don’t want to honor the contract, you can’t really make them fight either
🚨 Eddie Hearn says he will NOT let Tom Aspinall fight Alex Pereira or Ciryl Gane under his current UFC deal 😬
"I'm not gonna let Tom Aspinall fight for the kind of money that's in his contract. To be involved in a fight against Pereira or Gane, for literally 1/50th of the revenue of that show.
F*ck that, I won't let him do it. It's time that those UFC fighters stop being mugs, and start to understand that these people are taking advantage of them. They deserve better.
I will tell you the number in time. UFC fans will be sick to their stomach about the money that Tom Aspinall is supposed to get for that kind of fight. It's not fair."

forgot that mensik will have two days of rest coming in
i am leaning mensik now. their games match up well but i like mensik more in pressure situations, especially as an underdog with lower expectation and less baggage
this french open final will feature zverev vs the winner between cobolli and faa
I just can’t picture anybody else with the number of wars everyone else has been through
to think 2026 french open has produced these many epic matches whilst missing certifiable top teners in alcaraz, musetti, fils, and draper…
(probably would have more routine matches if they and sinner were there)
this loss feels harder because it’s not to carlos, jannik, or novak
it’s a completely different feeling when favourites get knocked out early and you are still not “the guy”
Felix Auger Aliassime says he is destroyed after his loss to Flavio Cobolli at Roland Garros, ‘I’m in a tough place right now with my tennis career… I usually handle losses pretty well… Right now I feel like I’m not the player I want to be’
“It’s probably difficult to reflect on this right now. But it’s still a Grand Slam quarterfinal. You’re going to be world #4 on Monday. Can you reflect on this tournament and the first part of the season?”
Felix: “Yeah, on one end, in a bigger perspective, I can’t complain with my life. But I’m in a place right now with my tennis career that… it’s tough. I’m destroyed today a little bit. It’s tough. I usually handle losses pretty well. My whole career I was going back to training with optimism and positivity. Right now I feel like I’m not the player I want to be. Today’s a difficult day.”

@AmyLundyDahl i don’t know if cahill will necessarily stay on as sinner’s coach long term
at any rate, sinner and alcaraz are buds. carlos ferrero is only making himself look desperate here
