God I miss NY. The incompetence and lack of accountability of the typical worker in Vancouver is staggering. No integrity.

@UberEats I placed a $225 grocery order and the driver didn’t deliver it to my location. the support refused to give me a managers number and ended the chat because he said I gave the pin so nothing they can do. Extremely disrespectful & we spends thousands of $ monthly on Uber

@fluffyblkboy Probably because historically, the "proper authorities" are just an institutionalized extension of white power and control. Especially if Black people are involved.

[alyssa smith-lee @pRncssLyssa]

@fluffyblkboy THIS! When I lived in SF and was dairy free, I pulled a piece of cheese from my sandwich and put it in the gutter and had some middle aged white guy yell at me to pick it up. Like wtf. I said, “I don’t know you, don’t talk to me.” Lol

White people truly believe that in the absence of “proper authorities” they’re in charge. Especially if Black people are involved. It shows in everything they do.

Marie Antoinette decided to wear lingerie as outerwear which increased demand for cotton which made it the primary crop of the South which instigated a dramatic rise in American slavery.

So, ima need yt people to stop assuming I’m related to any Black people within a 10’ radius. They are not asking other yt people beside each other if they’re relatives. Smh

My heart just shattered into one million pieces. Oh Alice, I wish someone you love and respect would call you in, but if they couldn’t do it around antisemitism, I doubt they can do it around transphobia masquerading as feminism.

A traffic cop just waved to my nine month old son, and I’m thinking don’t do that when as soon as he turns 5, you’ll see him as a threat.

I know white people don’t like us calling them colonizers but maybe if we just remove the ER and add an A…idk

[alyssa smith-lee @pRncssLyssa]

@Phil_Lewis_ The negativity surrounding the connecting of age to effectiveness, is a direct result of the colonizers’ mental conditioning of us —to only allow participation in certain activities, ie politics, drinking, “drugs”, driving, when THEY deem we should. Origins are everything

[Ian Saint @iansaint_]

@Phil_Lewis_ Feeling disheartened to see all the cynicism being cast at this young man.

I don’t know Earle, Arkansas… but he beat the town Superintendent by wide margin 🤷

If Jaylen Smith can rally community together like that, perhaps he can revitalize his town via collective inspiration.
