@starlightsrey In the climax, Kylo should've told him that he was his hero and he failed him. But those ideas aren't there. We don't get the sense Kylo ever admired Luke. But as soon as he goes to the dark side, he becomes obsessed with Vader. Intriguing

@starlightsrey I think the flashback showing Luke training him at the temple should've been longer. Showing a relationship of love and "hate" between Ben and his uncle, since he was conflicted. It would've added more layers. +

@starlightsrey Kylo was following orders. We never hear Kylo saying he wanted revenge on Luke.

He obviously hated his uncle and blamed him, but finding Luke was never portrayed as something he wanted for himself. That was Snoke's command. I wasn't too sold on Ben's hatred for Luke, tbh.

@starlightsrey I get saying he was blinded by hate, but there's denial and full on stupidity. Rian nerfed Kylo there so the scene could work.

If he feared Luke that badly, he wouldn't have boldly confronted him. Also, Kylo was hunting for Luke because that was what Snoke wanted. +
