What a waste!  Trump wants $200 billion to spend on the Iran war, and has accomplished nothing but death, destruction, and damage to the world’s economy.
And the Pentagon is weighing sending 10,000 more troops to the Iran war, likely including infantry and armored vehicles, to be added to the roughly 5,000 Marines and the thousands of paratroopers from the 82nd Airborne Division who have already been ordered to the region.  Meanwhile, per the Wall Street Journal, battle damage and replacement of losses over the first three weeks of the war likely cost roughly $1.4 billion to $2.9 billion.

And what a disaster!  The Strait of Hormuz is still closed, and Qatar produces 30 to 33 percent of global helium as a byproduct of LNG processing at Ras Laffan, home to the largest helium production facilities on Earth.  Helium has stopped flowing with it.  It can’t be substituted, it can’t be replaced, it evaporates so it can’t be stockpiled.  MRI machines, semiconductor fabs, and the global aerospace supply chain will all suffer from reduced supply.

The Budapest memorandum, signed by the U.S. in 1994, guaranteed Ukraine’s sovereignty in exchange for giving up its nuclear weapons.  The U.S. is obligated to defend Ukraine.  Yet the U.S. is pressuring Ukraine to withdraw from the eastern Donbas region, and is stealing for the U.S. the $750 Million paid by NATO in order to send additional assistance to Ukraine.

If the U.S. is ever trusted again, it will take decades for that to happen.

Emily Gregory won Florida House District 87 with 51.2% to Republican Jon Maples's 48.8%, flipping a deep-red seat that includes Trump’s Mar-a-Lago and that Trump carried by 11 points in 2024!!!

Democrats also took Florida Senate District 14  --  Navy veteran Brian Nathan beat state Rep. Josie Tomkow by 400 votes!!!

Those victories can be added to 12 Republican state seats flipped by Democrats in specials since 2025.

Jack Smith’s office found that Trump held on to documents so secret that only six people could legally review them — and the team believed his reason for doing so was financial gain.

Minnesota is suing the U.S. DOJ and Homeland Security, accusing federal officials of stonewalling investigations into the fatal shootings of two residents, Alex Pretti and Renee Good.  Kristi Noem and Pam Bondi are also named in the lawsuit as defendants.  

Minnesota has been denied access to critical evidence after federal agents killed Pretti and Good during a massive immigration enforcement surge.

Per the New York Times, Trump will pay a French energy giant nearly $1 Billion to abandon its plans to build wind farms off the East Coast.

That’s our taxpayer dollars being used to shoot ourselves in the foot and lessen the availability of alternative energy.  Trump burns the future and calls it strategy.

Can you imagine what the World would be like without the dependence on foreign oil as fuel?  Not just now, but in the past.

The Epstein Coverup Continues!

Per the Miami Herald, an inmate and correctional officers reported that unusual volumes of material were transported within the Metropolitan Corrections Center for shredding less than a week after Epstein was found dead inside his cell, and before federal agents could examine them.

An officer at the facility contacted the FBI’s National Threat Operations Center to say he had “never seen this amount of bags of shredded documents coming out to be put in the dumpster at the rear gate of MCC.”  “Bales” of shredded paper are reported to have been removed from the facility.

Per the Miami Hreal. “…there were so many irregularities discovered at the Manhattan jail that the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York (SDNY) opened three separate probes into the case, with different case numbers, records and emails show.”  But these investigations were transferred to the DOJ’s Office of the Inspector General, which lacks any prosecutorial powers, foreclosing the examination of Epstein’s death as a murder.  “One thing that got lost as a result of the cell not being examined was that the piece of fabric that Epstein allegedly used to hang himself was never identified.”

Trump started the war which has closed the Strait of Hormuz.  America, which gets almost none of its oil through it, started the war that closed it.

From the Strait of Hormuz, Japan gets 95% of its oil, China gets 90%, South Korea gets 35%.  Trump is asking the countries whose entire energy supply depends on the Strait of Hormuz to come fight for it, when he is the one who closed it.

Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi (born 16 years after the end of WWII) met with Trump and during a news conference, a Japanese reporter asked: "Why didn't you tell US allies about the war before attacking Iran?" Trump replied: "Who knows better about surprises then Japan. Why didn't you tell me about Pearl Harbor?"

Is it any wonder that Lieutenant General Ben Hodges who was the commanding general of the United States Army in Europe, said the following:  “This is embarrassing for me as an American to hear any American president showing such disdain for any ally, and we are going to regret in the long run as ... nations lose confidence in us, lose trust in us and start finding other ways to look after their strategic interests.”

Per the New York Times, a draft memo prepared for Secretary of State Marco Rubio by the State Department’s Africa Bureau says: “We will only secure our priorities by demonstrating willingness to publicly take support away from Zambia on a massive scale.”

It turns out what the memo is talking about is the U.S. withholding lifesaving HIV assistance to people in Zambia to pressure the government to sign a deal giving the United States greater access to its critical minerals.

Trump refuses to condemn Russia for helping Iran target U.S. troops, aircraft, and ships.

Sen. Adam Schiff criticized Trump’s “terrible decision” to lift sanctions on Russian oil: "We are now giving Russia $140 million a day by releasing them from these sanctions when Russia is providing intelligence to Iran to better attack and kill American troops.”

Bessent has suggested lifting sanctions on Iranian oil.

Trump has lifted U.S. sanctions previously imposed on Belarusian fertilizer exports.

All of these actions will directly benefit Russia’s economy and Russia’s war efforts.

Trump is a Putin asset and has been for years.

Oregon Democrat Ron Wyden has been investigating how banks like JPMorgan enabled Epstein's crimes, uncovering over $1 billion in retroactively flagged transactions after his 2019 death.   Although Wyden has demanded full access to FinCEN's suspicious activity reports from Bessent, Bessent has refused and the GOP has blocked Wyden’s “Produce Epstein Treasury Records Act” which would have forced the release of these records.  The files could reveal money laundering and trafficking networks.  But Treasury is blocking the money trail and DOJ is blocking the files.

Rusia se beneficia de la guerra en Irán. Y la guerra contra Ucrania y la guerra en Irán tienen un denominador común: Rusia.

Irán ha atacado la terminal de gas natural licuado más grande del mundo en Qatar. Y según Bloomberg, Irán ha enviado a Rusia misiles por un valor de al menos 2.700 millones de dólares para atacar Ucrania. Desde finales de 2021, Rusia ha invertido al menos 4.000 millones de dólares en el sector de defensa de Irán, recibiendo cientos de misiles balísticos, 500 otros misiles de corto alcance y 200 misiles tierra-aire. Irán también suministró a Rusia drones suicidas Shahed-136 y transfirió las tecnologías necesarias, permitiendo a Rusia establecer su propia producción.

Russia stands to gain from the Iran war.  And the war against Ukraine and the war in Iran have one common denominator – Russia. 

Iran has hit the world’s largest liquefied natural gas terminal in Qatar.  And according to Bloomberg, Iran has sent Russia at least $2.7 billion worth of missiles to attack Ukraine. Since the end of 2021, Russia has invested at least $4 billion in Iran's defense sector, receiving hundreds of ballistic missiles, 500 other short-range missiles, and 200 surface-to-air missiles.  Iran also supplied Russia with Shahed-136 suicide drones and transferred the necessary technologies, enabling Russia to establish its own production.

The Iran attacks against its Persian Gulf neighbors was predictable.  Russia benefitting from higher oil prices to fund more attacks in Ukraine was predictable.  Trump started this mess and doesn’t care.

Yet another tragic ICE death.  A 41-year-old father of six died less than 24 hours after entering ICE custody.  Mohammad Nazeer Paktyawal was an Afghan immigrant who worked for years alongside U.S. Army Special Forces in Afghanistan’s dangerous Paktika province starting in 2005.  The U.S. evacuated Paktyawal and his family to the U.S. in August 2021 after Afghanistan’s fall to the Taliban during the war in Afghanistan.  He is the 43rd person to die in ICE custody during the second Trump administration.

Of course, true to form, ICE immediately started to smear the victim, alleging that Paktyawal had been arrested in 2025, although records show no conviction of any crime.
