1. Why is the original ticket necessary when PNR no. and original id of the passengers is provided.
2. If the TTE gives false claims of refund but the counter official refuses, what should the passenger do?

@IRCTCofficial @PiyushGoyal @RailMinIndia My parents were travelling yesterday but forgot the ticket home. They showed the TTE photocopy of the ticket, original id and PNR No. Yet, a receipt of same amount as ticket was handed to them saying they could get a refund at Counter.

But today at the counter, the official said no refund is possible. Kindly clarify this whole process, and answer two questions
