@grahamcarr2@CarterByrd13 No doubt. Old farts like me will remember FB Joe Frazier. Frazier would've kicked that guy out and driven him out-of-bounds. The '94 Arkansas game immediately comes to mind.
Been doing some point spread research on Auburn-Georgia, and noticed something interesting.
Since 1976 (50 years), a double-digit underdog has won the game outright 5 times.
Four of them took place in 1986 (Georgia won), 1996 (Georgia), 2006 (Georgia) and 2016 (Georgia). The other was 1999 (Auburn won).
Georgia is a 21-point favorite this year (2026).
Not sayin', just sayin'.
@OnlyOneRomey Not whining if it’s the truth. Agree that Auburn just needs to be better, but I’m going to call out false narratives every time, which is exactly what the original post was.
@bowdensburner@jontweetssports Not correct. The UGA-Bama game sites were originally staggered. The SEC un-staggered the sites in 2013 and forced UGA to play back-to-back at Auburn ('12 and '13) to accomplish that. Auburn wanted the games re-staggered. The SEC moved the UGA game to October instead.
@jontweetssports Why don't you read your own Athens newspaper about what Auburn was "whining" about? They wanted the game sites for those two games re-staggered. The SEC moved the game to October instead. https://t.co/gmnYKXzC9M
@ErkedRussell "I think the big thing is having them staggered - one at home and one away - would probably be the best for those two at the end," Malzahn said.
