Their SRS was mostly a Bron impact stat.
Not roster strength.

Neither MJ, Curry, or Jokic has EVER led a team to an SRS of 6.0 or better & 60+ wins w/o multiple teammates with a VORP above 2.3.
Bron did multiple times.

A +20.7 swing

10 CLE Nrtg:
Bron On = +10.4
Off = -5.5
A +15.9 swing

CLE SRS was high cuz Bron was on court for 40 mins nightly making a weak team look elite.
But his lift has limits & POs exposes weak rosters

91-93 CHI's comp was easier in relation to CHI than 11-14 MIAs comp.
Using SRS avg's:

CHI - 8.27
CHI East & Finals comp - 2.09 & 6.64

MIA - 5.91
MIA East & Finals comp - 1.85 & 6.38

So CHI +6.18 & +1.63 SRS > their comp

MIA +4.06 > & -0.47 < theirs

Because competition also matters.
Bron elevated his teams further, while also facing tougher competition relative to his own team.
The only time MJ faced the competitive deficits Bron faced was in the 80s, & we all saw his lack of Playoff success then.

MJ hasn't been the greatest in over a decade.
That idea is outdated.

GSW was a traditionally built team that just added KD via a 1x cap spike in free agency.

Miami is the outlier.
The only multi time champion Big 3.

So much so that the league moved away from the Big 3 era.

But you also have to great for 20+ years.
No one has been greater, longer & Bron did it creating his own shots, on higher eFG%, & on less fga's than MJ.

Don't pretend as if he's the pillar of showing up every game when there's years worth of not showing up while physically capable.

He made them winning teams & was the driver of their success as proven by metrics & his FMVPs.

Btw, jumping ship & having to build chemistry & winning habits is harder than staying in a winning situation.

Bron was more available, regularly took his weaker teams further than MJ did, & this is while never having a team as productive over the field as MJ's 90s teams were.

No need to go past year 15 cuz as you can see Bron won more.

Its hard to get bored of something you truly love doing.
& for a guy often billed as this extreme competitor, why wasn't he pursuing Bill Russell's record?

Kareems?
There were several motivators for him, yet he didn't pursue.
Cuz he couldn't.

Its not that he hasn't pursued other endeavors.
He's done movies, podcasts, schools, football, started businesses, etc.
But his love for the sport that brought him out of poverty stayed his #1 focus.

Because you don't get to receive credit for being committed to the sport & fans, being capable of playing the sport & in good health, yet WILLINGLY not playing for 4 of the 19 years your career spans.
